Homecoming, Spirit week and more...
Dear Parents:
Our lower school staff will attend a webinar this week on Accelerated Reader. You should see a parent information packet as well as a STAR Reading Assessment on your child in the next couple of weeks.
Don Crafton from the St. Cecilia Band Program did start music classes on Friday, September 23. Please contact the office if you missed the meeting and would like your child to participate.
We are still looking for volunteers for the Fall Festival. Please feel free to attend or contact Erin Kemp at briankemp29@earthlink.net. Additionally, donations are needed for the Knights Bazaar.
We will continue with our trial period of breakfast service in the cafeteria. If your child hasn’t had a chance to eat before getting to school, please let them take advantage of this opportunity. Students definitely perform better when they have eaten in the morning.
Homecoming Spirit Weeks starts on Monday, October 3 and culminates with our Homecoming Football Game on October 7 at 7 pm. Please allow your child to participate in the spirit days. The dress days are as follows:
Monday- Super Hero Day
Tuesday-Tacky, Wacky Day
Wednesday-Pajama Day
Thursday-Hillbilly Day
Friday-Blue and Gray Day
Lower School children will walk the track during the parade on Friday evening. They are encouraged to dress in costume. The theme this year is “Eras”.
The Tom Connelly Golf tournament is quickly approaching and we need more golfers. Please join your friends and BSH community supporters on Monday, October 17th. Contact Lynn McMinn in the Development Office for more information.
Sincerely,
Tracy Bonday-deLeon
